Omy is a character with a long history within the world of Sky Rebels. In the original Story, she was an assassin who utilised water magic and was sent to hinder the Sky Rebels on their adventure. Eventually, her roles would switch becoming Ally/Enemy quite often. She was notably unhinged and dangerous. This interpretation of the character is quite different due to her maintaining an appearance of normalcy but hiding quite the psychopath underneath all the Glamour. Originally Omy wore her Dangerous Side Proudly, but this new Omy knows to get by in the world she’d have to assimilate.
Omy’s prominent colours are most often Blue, Dark Blue and Black with Vivid hair, in her original appearance her hair was vibrant pink, now becoming a Redhead to match Limmy’s hair colour, alluding to the familial relations.
Originally her design was a bit more reserved, this didn’t feel fitting. She was a starlet, a celebrity, she would wear her status like a second skin so her outfit eventually reflected that more. Before I looked to more glamorous depictions of female fashion, dressed that was long and lounge-like. Very much like the dress below. I gave her this weird flower crown of thorns, which I felt was this cool metaphor for her character, where she appeared as a beautiful flower, but hidden amongst the beauty was a row of thorns. Also, it was goth and I dug it.
However, after realising it didn’t feel right with the characters, I changed my direction for her design opting for a more fun design to fit her kittenish, unhinged nature. So Flapper Girls. It was within this design that I could be more creative with my choices, I wanted to give the dress a mermaid-like feel, by incorporating fish scale and ocean wave motifs. This eluding to her Demon Pact with a large Angler Fish Creature.
